Exploring UAE in Winter
Traveller: Smart SomeshI went to Dubai with my Mom and brother in early Jan 2017 when it was still winter so that I can avoid the sultry Summer months. I also wanted to visit the Dubai Festival which is a month-long event from late December to early Jan.
Winter time in Dubai is very pleasant and I thoroughly enjoyed my week’s stay more than the last visit when it was peak summer time.
I also tried to visit the natural-side of UAE more this time around. But I did visit the Ferrari world in Abu-Dhabi and it was great.
The place I loved the most was our drive to Jebel Hafeet peak in Al-Ain. IT was chilly when we reached the top and was beautiful.

Of course, we saw the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Mall Fountain
Advise for all the fellow travelers:
1. Dec- Feb is the best time to visit UAE
2. You need a personal/ rented vehicle to get around as public travel is not so great and expensive also.
3. Never break traffic rules in Dubai 🙂
