- To release the order, click on “change status” action, and select released.
- The order will be converted to Released production order.
Released production order
A Released Production Order in Business Central indicates that the production order has been finalized and is ready to begin production. Once released:
- Materials are allocated from inventory.
- Production begins.
- You can track material consumption and finished goods.
Material Issue
- The first step in production is getting the materials to the production floor.
- A Material issue is a document created from the released production page.
- Raw/Packing materials are transferred to production location. By posting material issue, system creates a reclassification entry.
Production Journal
- Production Journal is used to post and track production activities, ensuring accurate inventory management and financial records. When a production order is completed, the production journal allows users to record the consumption of raw materials and the declaration of finished goods output.
- When the production journal is posted, the quantity is transferred from production location to undertest location if the FG item is enabled for quality check.
- Later the quality check is conducted by the quality team as and when necessary.
- User manually creates the inspection datasheet from the released production order page.
